Combining changes of perspective in one role and building bridges between stakeholders, management and developers. Working together towards a common goal in this way is what drives me. Product management and product vision, professional requirements, technical perspectives, UX and design can only achieve the goal together and act and remain authentic in the process.

Biography,
a few words

Over the past eight years, I have shifted my focus from working as a software developer, software architect and administrator to product and project management and team leadership. For me, taking responsibility for a product is a logical development of my understanding of work as I have lived it in IT up to now. It motivates me to be able to empower the team to focus on their competencies through a sense of responsibility, influence and autonomy.

Product Owner

As Product Owner, I have taken over the management of the software product to be created on behalf of the customer in the field of Eventing & Ticketing. I bring the desired technical expertise for the role of Product Owner, which I have acquired through my previous professional career. As Proxy Product Owner, I act in cooperation with the client for the developed Single-Page-Application (SPA), which is operated as a SaaS product in K8S. The team combines the different disciplines of UX, design, software development and DevOps. In parallel to the product created on behalf of the customer, we are developing our own product, which serves more as a technical product for software development. It offers the abstraction of complex architecture patterns and thus reduces the time-to-market of the software development team using it.

As part of corporate restructuring, the decision was made to equip the existing software with a new web client. This web client should only provide a small section of the functionalities of the inventory software, but with a special focus on usability and design. The determination of the requirements needed for this task, as well as the maintenance of existing processes in Jira, was taken over by me and a colleague full-time from March 2022. This includes process implementations, supporting colleagues who take on new tasks for the aforementioned web client and working with the stakeholders involved.

I worked as a software developer in all the projects and products I was involved in. Over the course of the projects, I developed from developer to project manager and finally to team leader. Technologically, I successfully made the transition from .NET development, after 14 years, to web development with JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular. In addition, I have always been in charge of IT.

Based on a mix of product work for customers on site in Dortmund and Germany-wide project work as a consultant, I have steadily expanded my skills and competencies over the three years. This includes initial experience in project and site management. I also helped to set up and manage the IT at the Dortmund site.
